Orlando, FL.- Since enrolling early this past spring, University of Central Florida’s true freshman WR Waden Charles has been turning heads.

Charles, a 6 foot 3 receiver from Boynton Beach has showed out throughout fall camp. Over the past few weeks, Waden has shined, showcasing his incredible catch radius alongside his jaw dropping jump ball abilities.

Earlier this morning, UCF Head Coach Scott Frost revealed the Knights’ two deep depth chart ahead of their season opener vs the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. One name that stands out from the rest is Waden Charles. Per the depth chart, Charles will be competing for the WR1 role with fifth year senior Marcus Burke.

The start of Charles makes a statement for the Frost era of UCF football, as he becomes the first true freshman to become a week one starter for the Knights since EDGE Randy Charlton in 2018. (per Stephen Leonard)
