PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA. – The St. Andrews Scots put together a dominant all-around performance Friday night, cruising to a 35-3 victory over the Benjamin Buccaneers.

Benjamin struck first when Alex Calvo-Ayers connected on a field goal late in the first quarter, giving the Buccaneers a 3-0 lead. However, that would be the lone highlight for Benjamin, as St. Andrews quickly seized control and never looked back.
The Scots’ offense began to find its rhythm in the second quarter. Wesley Winn punched in a rushing touchdown to put St. Andrews ahead 7-3, taking advantage of a Benjamin turnover deep in their own territory. Moments later, the Scots capitalized again — this time converting on a crucial fourth-and-12 before scoring another touchdown to extend their lead to 14-3.
Benjamin’s defense fought to keep the game within reach. Danny Suarez recorded a key sack, and Auggie Dalton made a huge tackle late in the half to prevent another St. Andrews score. Despite their efforts, the Buccaneers went into the locker room trailing 14-3.
In the second half, Kaden Faniel gave Benjamin a brief spark with an interception midway through the third quarter. But St. Andrews’ offense proved too much to contain. Remi DeOrsey added a rushing touchdown to push the lead to 21-3, and Wesley Winn later broke the game open with a punt return touchdown early in the fourth quarter.
Dylan Faison sealed the win for the Scots with a touchdown late in the game, capping off a statement victory that showcased St. Andrews’ balanced attack and defensive discipline.
With the win, St. Andrews continues to build momentum heading into the playoffs, while Benjamin looks to regroup and find answers before its next matchup.
