PALM BEACH COUNTY – Our Game of Week 5 between then-No. 3 Pahokee and then-No. 6 Palm Beach Gardens had major implications for both teams in question.
Palm Beach Gardens (3-2) came back from a 34-21 deficit in the second half to stun Pahokee (3-1) in a 35-34 road win.
The difference maker here was junior running back Jacory Brown, who scored one of his two rushing touchdowns in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter to put Palm Beach Gardens in position for the victory.
With that said, we will tip our hat off to Palm Beach Gardens, which completed three games in a seven-day span. And as a result, the former No. 1 team will return to the top tier this week, moving up one spot from No. 6 to No. 5.
Also moving up one spot this week are Park Vista (4-0) and Dwyer (3-1).
Park Vista, a 69-0 winner over Royal Palm Beach, improves from No. 5 to No. 4. Meanwhile, Dwyer enjoyed its bye and went up from No. 4 to No. 3.
And with Pahokee losing by one point to Palm Beach Gardens, it takes a three-spot drop from No. 3 to No. 6 this week.
