PALM BEACH GARDENS – In a game where the Benjamin wanted to prove critics wrong, it was Gulliver Prep running back Antoine Hall who dashed the home team’s hopes of doing just that.

Through Hall’s on-field leadership and production, the Gulliver Prep Raiders defeated Benjamin 42-14 on Friday night (Oct. 11).

Hall, who is currently committed to Navy, scored three touchdowns in the third quarter, as the Raiders scored 28 consecutive points in the pivotal frame. He finished the game with those three scores, along with 200 rushing yards on 13 carries.

Hall showed his dazzling speed on a 65-yard touchdown run, which put the Raiders up 14-0 midway through the third quarter. The road team also added a rushing touchdown touchdown from Sedrick Irvin Jr. en route to a 28-0 lead going into the fourth quarter.

While Benjamin attempted to make a comeback in the fourth with backup quarterback Carson Wiener, the effort ultimately proved to be too little, too late. Carson Haggard’s touchdown pass to Travious Lathan secured the victory late for Gulliver Prep.

While the road team’s offense was able to dominate, it was the Gulliver Prep defense that proved to change the game. As a unit, the Raiders defense forced two interceptions and recovered three fumbles.
