Last night, the Florida State Seminoles opened the 2025 college football season with the most stunning of upsets, taking down #8 Alabama.
During the ‘Noles 31-17 rout of the Crimson Tide, a local star made his presence known. Second year kicker Jake Weinberg received his first career start, and did what he did best- launch footballs through the uprights.
Weinberg, a two-time Lou Groza High School Place Kicker of the Year winner at American Heritage (Delray), went perfect on the day, going 4/4 from extra points, and drilling a 45 yard missile.
Florida State kicker Jake Weinberg had a perfect outing, finishing 1-for-1 on field goal attempts, with his lone make coming from 45 yards out.

During the off-season, Weinberg broke the internet as during a training session, he launched a 70 yarder like it was butter. During his career as a Stallion, Jake Weinberg’s career long was 57.
