West Palm Beach, FL – From 407 to 561, Cameron Bryant has committed to Palm Beach Atlantic University. He announced on Social Media today, He joins a team with a solid core already built, in another good recruiting class from Coach Cole Rose.

Bryant comes from Oviedo HS, winning back-to-back district championships his junior and senior year after transferring in from Timber Creek. The 6’7 Wing averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds during his senior season, leading his team in both statistics. This earned him the Seminole County Basketball Player of the Year award in March.

Cam is an ideal fit for the PBA roster. On the court, he has a high IQ allowing him to get to the basket and defend while still being able to knock down shots. Off the court Cam is a great listener, a highly coachable player, and great person. as Coach Rose tends to recruit these types of guys and Cam is no different.

Bryant gained the bulk of his exposure playing with Sunshine Elite the last few summers. Sunshine, a newer Independent AAU program has sent over a dozen players to college and will continue to do so.

After committing to LMU, A surprise coaching change from the Rail Splitters caused a late decommitment. PBA has been recruiting Cam for years, and he has taken multiple trips down I95 to visit or attend camps.

As for the Sailfish, they in the first round of the SSC tournament. However that doesn’t paint the picture of how the season went and the growth rate that Coach Rose has brought to the program.

Last Season, PBA did the following:

  • Best Start in School History (15-3)
  • Handed National Champion Nova Southeastern its only loss on the season.
  • Reached the National Top-25 for the first time in school history, Peaking at #16.
  • SSC Honors: Josh Ward Second Team, Second Team Defense, 2x Player of the Week, 1x Defensive Player of the Week. Jamaal Walker 1x Player of the Week.

This season, we can expect Cam and the Sailfish to again be one of the most exciting teams in Division II and make noise in the SSC and NCAA tournaments.
