West Boca, Fl— West Boca set the tone early and never looked back, powering their way to a 41 to 3 win over Mitchell to secure the regional championship and punch their ticket to the next round.
Mitchell opened the night with a promising start. Quarterback Cayden Thomas connected with Alex Fairbanks for a deep strike into West Boca territory, setting up an early field goal. But that would be the only moment the Mustangs controlled the game.
From there, West Boca imposed its will. A steady seventy yard march, fueled entirely by the run game, was capped off by a Trey Moran touchdown as the Bulls took their first lead of the night. A muffed punt that was recovered by West Boca kept momentum on their side, and on the very next offensive snap, quarterback Omari McNeal hit Calerbe Hermane for a one play touchdown to extend the lead.
The defense took over next. Damari Jerry scooped up a loose ball on fourth down and returned it for a touchdown, stretching the advantage to 21 to 3. Moments later, Mitchell suffered another setback when quarterback Cayden Thomas went down on a play and did not return.
West Boca continued to control every phase. A pass interference call on fourth and long extended another Bulls drive, and Running Back Anderson Gracilien found himself wide open for a fourth down touchdown to widen the gap. Their first punt of the night still worked in their favor, as a personal foul on the return gave Mitchell prime field position at the West Boca eleven. Even then, the Bulls defense stood tall, producing a quick stop before a bad snap halted any chance of points for Mitchell.
West Boca answered immediately with another long drive finished off by a four yard touchdown run from Trey Moran. The Bulls went into halftime up 35 to 3, fully in command.
The second half was more of the same. A missed kick by West Boca turned into an even bigger moment when Louisville commit Jaydin Broadnax jumped a route and returned an interception for a pick six. Moments later, Gavin Edmond added another pick to seal the win.
West Boca closes out a dominant performance as regional champions, showcasing efficiency on offense, physicality in the run game, and a defense that scored twice and dictated everything. Reseed details for the next round will be announced soon, but one thing is clear: the Bulls are rolling at the right time.
