Like many others in the 2027 class, a standout cornerback is starting to move forward in his recruitment process.
Lary Morgan III, a stalwart of the West Boca Raton defense, has reached a final six schools of Tulane, Boston College, UConn, Michigan State, Northwestern, and USF. Additionally, the defensive back holds 25 total offers, which include schools like Louisville, Ole Miss, and Kentucky.

Morgan III, when asked about his visits and final six schools, emphasized relationships.
“My favorite part was getting to meet all the coaches in person and them showing major love to me. And when it comes to my final six, what stuck out to me were the relationships I built with all the coaches and how they could develop me as a person and player.”
The West Boca product added that he is “super excited” for his official visits and that he does not see any new teams entering the mix for his recruitment. Morgan III, when asked, provided a date for his commitment: June 30th.
Posting 32 tackles, nine PBUs, and an interception in 2025, Morgan III has all of the skills needed to play defensive back at a high level. He can fly downhill to make tackles, runs very well with wideouts, and consistently makes plays on the ball. On a team filled to the brim with Division 1 talent, Morgan III was truly one of the best game in and game out for West Boca.
It will be fascinating to see which team pulls ahead in the end for the defensive back, as all of the finalists for Morgan III are schools that could be a great fit for the development he is seeking. The spring and summer months will allow this process to unfold, and once June 30th arrives, one team’s 2027 class will have a very impactful addition in the secondary.
