One of Florida’s fastest-rising wideouts is starting to see his recruitment heat up as the summer months approach.

Jayden Elder, the wideout and Spanish River standout, has offically announced his final six schools. Alongside the American Conference’s Tulane and USF, Elder has Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Duke, and West Virginia on his list. Elder has already locked in three OVs with teams on the following dates

  • Pittsburgh: May 28th, 2026
  • USF: June 5th, 2026
  • Tulane: June 18th, 2026

Elder, when asked about his unofficial visits, spoke about the biggest things he valued from them and how he narrowed down his school list.

“Getting to finally meet the coaches was something I was looking forward to. More importantly, I was happy to get the chance to watch their practices firsthand. In narrowing down my Top 6, my relationships with the different coaching staffs and identifying offensive schemes where I can truly develop and excel were the most critical factors.

Regarding his OVs, Elder said he is “extremely excited” and is “looking forward to everything coming up.” He also added that he is looking for “high energy” on his visits.

“I want to feel that excitement from the entire staff the moment I walk in and know that I am a top priority for their program,” said Elder.

When it comes to a commitment, Elder does have a date: June 26th, 2026. However, the wideout said that date could “shift” as his ” relationships with coaches continue to evolve.” Additionally, Elder did not rule out new teams entering the mix for his recruitment.

“With spring ball approaching, I wouldn’t be surprised if new programs enter the mix. I am open to new opportunities,” said Elder.

Holding 20 offers already, the Boca Raton native could be in a position to pick up a few more of them with a strong 2026 spring and fall. Elder possesses upper-level speed and route-running, showing impressive improvement year after year. The Spanish River product has comparable talent to some of the best players at his position in the 2027 class, and if all breaks right, he could be a much better get than his three-star rating indicates. I am very excited to see how Elder’s recruitment process concludes over the next few months.
