Washington played his first two seasons for Xavier Coach Richard Pitino at New Mexico.
The 6-4 guard averaged 11.9 points this past season for a Hurricanes team that went to the NCAA tourney
Breaking: Xavier lands a commitment from Miami transfer G Tru Washington. Washington served as a vital piece for the Hurricanes’ offense, recording 12 points and 4 rebounds on 44.3% coming as the first man off the bench.
Washington spent his first 2 seasons with Pitino at New Mexico, where he’d be a vital role on the Lobos’ NCAA Tournament appearances in 2024 and 2025. During his final year in Albuquerque, Washington recorded 11.1 PPG and 4 rebounds on 42.5% from the field.
