Boynton Beach, Fl —- At Boynton Beach High School, a new era is taking shape and leading the charge is junior standout Bentley Robinson, a dynamic two-way player who’s turning heads on both sides of the ball.
After throwing for over 1,400 yards last season while also recording 41 tackles on defense, Robinson has made it clear: he’s built for both spotlight and substance.
“Bentley is exciting. You never know what he’s going to do next,” said Boynton Beach Offensive Coordinator Coach Jarious Smith. “He’ll give you a 60-yard bomb on offense and then turn around and lock down your best receiver. He’s a Travis Hunter type of guy.”
This spring, Bentley is showing even more growth—especially in areas that don’t always show up in the box score.
“I’ve been focused on improving my catching at receiver and my communication at DB,” Bentley told C2 On the Road. “Helping my linebackers, calling in and out of formations that’s where I’ve really leveled up.”
For Bentley, playing cornerback feels like home. Though he began his high school career as a receiver, he embraced a position switch under Coach Tre Smith, trusting the process and elevating his skill set.
“He’s coachable, tough, and all about the work,” said Coach Smith. “College coaches are going to get a kid who does everything right—goes to class, lifts, studies, competes.”
The standard at Boynton is sky-high this year, with Coach Smith pushing for a fast, physical offensive identity and setting the bar at 500 yards a game. Bentley fits right into that blueprint with the mindset to match.
“My goals? Go undefeated, get to states,” Bentley said. “Personally—1,000 yards receiving and no catches allowed on defense. That’s the mission.”
Off the field, Coach Smith has reignited the culture, bringing back a sense of pride and identity to the program.
“It feels like home again,” Bentley said. “We’re having fun, playing real Boynton Beach football.”
With talent, leadership, and confidence all aligning, Bentley Robinson is the heart of the new Boynton Beach wave.
