Week 1 MVP: Caleb Butler, QB PBC

WELLINGTON – Palm Beach Central quarterback Caleb Butler (’26) is your Week 1 MVP.

Caleb was voted as MVP by 34.1 percent of our viewers. For those that do not know, you can find all of our weekly superlative nominations on the New Era Prep Twitter account.

When asked about his MVP nomination, Butler said:

“It is an honor to be named MVP Player of the Week,” Butler said. “Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I really do appreciate it. With that being said, the job’s not finished, and now it’s onto Week 2 against Boca.”

In Butler’s first regular season start against Creekside (Jacksonville), he put Palm Beach County on notice.

During the Broncos 55-48 victory over Creekside, Butler recorded:

•400 passing yards
•4 passing touchdowns
•25 rushing touchdowns
•1 rushing touchdown

When asked about his performance at Creekside, Butler said:

“I think my performance was definitely was better then the week before against Atlantic, but that’s what my goal is.” Butler stated. “I want to improve and do better every week. If I keep progressing every week, I’m going to put my team in the best spot possible for success. This was a whole team win. I’m proud of my guys for being fired up and fighting the entire game.”

Congratulations Caleb for being voted as the Week 1 MVP. He and the Broncos will travel to face Boca Raton on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
