VERO BEACH – Brayden Marson is a talent to behold for the Vero Beach Fighting Indians.

The 6-foot-4, 170-pound wide receiver (‘25) had a memorable performance in Week 4 against Fort Pierce Westwood.

What exactly did the junior wideout do?

In his team’s 35-0 home win over Fort Pierce Westwood, Marson simply displayed another skill he is quite good at. He went 5-for-5 on his extra point attempts to help make the 35-point margin of victory possible.

As a result of this, he ended up in a three-way tie with Treasure Coast kicker/punter Manuel German (‘24) and South Fork’s kicker for our Special Teams Player of Week 4 honor on the Treasure Coast.

“I’m new at kicking,” Marson said. “They just put me out there. That was my second game ever kicking. I play receiver.”

Marson spoke about his overall performance against Fort Pierce Westwood.

“I would say that everything kinda goes slow motion until you kick the ball,” Marson said. “You know how the kick is gonna end up the second you touch the ball, so you have to be proactive with where you place your foot. I was nervous at first, but after the first kick I knew I was locked in.”

Marson was one of two Week 4 superlative winners for Vero Beach.

Who was the other top performer?

It was none other than Vero Beach quarterback and SMU verbal commit Tyler Aronson (‘24).

Our MVP of Week 4 on the Treasure Coast had a masterful performance of his own against Fort Pierce Westwood. He posted the following statistics:

•11-of-12 passing (91.7 completion percentage)

•4 touchdowns, no interceptions

•153 yards

•Long pass play of 35 yards

“He’s an amazing person and quarterback,” Marson said of Aronson. “He knows how to read and stay comfortable in the pocket. He isn’t scared of contact. He definitely is the top quarterback in Florida from what I’ve seen.”

Marson on Vero Beach’s 35-0 win over Fort Pierce Westwood.

“As long as I can put any type of yards or points up against a team, I know that I’m helping out my team and teammates,” Marson said. “We got a great coach (Lenny Jankowski) who makes us stay prepared.”

Vero Beach got payback for its shocking 23-20 loss to Fort Pierce Westwood in the final of the Keiser 7-on-7 Tournament this past summer.

“Healthy revenge I guess,” Marson said.
