Texas Longhorns are the team to beat according to most. The over whelming majority of the Longhorns’ hype stems from their explosive offense headlined by the dynamic backfield duo of QB Arch Manning and RB Tre Wisner. Earlier this afternoon, both Manning and Wisner were listed on the Maxwell Award Pre-Season Watch List. The Maxwell Award, named in commemoration of Robert “Tiny” Maxwell, is awarded to the most outstanding player in college football.

It’s year one with the keys to the Longhorns’ offense for Arch Manning. Following some strong showings in the limited role he had in 2024, Manning is ready to set college football on fire. During his redshirt sophomore campaign, Arch Manning recorded 939 yards and 9 touchdowns in 10 appearances.
As for Quintrevion “Tre” Wisner, he’s looking to solidify himself as one of the top backs in this upcoming Draft. In 2024, Tre stepped into the feature back role and recorded 1,064 rushing yards alongside 5 touchdowns.

Could we see one of these dynamic playmakers raise the Maxwell Award on December 11? Only time will tell, but it certainly seems quite promising.
