LSU basketball just got another major boost heading into the upcoming season as RJ Luis, the 2025 Big East Player of the Year, is now eligible to play for the Tigers.

Luis arrives in Baton Rouge after a standout season at St. John’s, where he averaged 18.2 points per game and established himself as one of the most productive players in the Big East. His eligibility adds another proven scorer to a roster that is quickly taking shape under head coach Will Wade.

For Wade, Luis represents more than just another name on the roster. The former Big East Player of the Year brings high-level experience and immediate production to a team looking to compete in one of the deepest conferences in college basketball.
