Palm Beach, FL.—The ‘Pack might just be back ladies and gentlemen.
The Oxbridge Thunderwolves pulled off one of the more improbable upsets we’ve seen this fall, downing the Boca Raton Christian Blazers 44-24. It was a senior night to remember, as Thunderwolves QB/S Brady Basis notched 4 total TD’s (2 pass, 2 rush) alongside 6 tackles and an interception defensively, paired nicely by his backfield buddy RB Cayden Pribramsky who rushed for 140 yards and 2 scores.

It was the last time that this QB/RB duo suited up at the Wolf’s Den, and they made the most out of it.
“I feel great! We had a great week of practice, came out in a new look for this week and shut one of the best offenses in the country down!” Brady Basis stated. “It feels good to bring the program back to what it used to be…Rebuilding starts with us.”

When scouting Boca Christian’s defense, it’s clear they do an excellent job stifling areal attacks, with Josh Burrell and Tavaris Wilson fortifying the boundary. The only way to burn the Blazers- ground and pound. Oxbridge did just that. A dominant 200+ yards from scrimmage evening can’t be conducted without help from the big men in the trenches. Senior OL Noah Haspel was a major catalyst of the ground game’s successes, recording 6 pancakes on the evening.
“I thought the trenches did really well pushing them around, opening gaps, I’m just really happy about this win….Being able to run our fundamental plays over and over and create gaps open…I thought we adapted really well.”
While a few chapters are coming to a close, one story is just beginning. Freshman WR/DB Malachi Baron impressed me in more ways than one tonight, as the 2030 multipurpose prospect was simply everywhere. The 6 foot 1 Baron hauled in both TD receptions from Basis, for 160 yards including a 75 yard catch and run score. Malachi also notched 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 2 pass breakups and an onside kick recovery.
Malachi had this to say about his performance

The Oxbridge Thunderwolves now stand at 5-3, neutralizing one of the hottest offenses in America down to a complete standstill. But less than 24 hours ago- there wasn’t much support from members of their own student body.
“All of us were a part of that 0-11 team last year, in some way or form. All week we heard in the halls that we’re playing this elite passing offense, you’ve got no chance, we’re not going to compete….Score board speaks for itself. It means a lot, especially on senior night.” RB Pribramsky reflected.
It’s a quick weekend for the Thunderwolves, as Oxbridge now prepares to hit the road and face the John I Leonard Lancers Tuesday evening.
