The Park Vista Cobras made the most of their trip to Georgia State University this summer, bringing home the championship trophy from a highly competitive 7-on-7 tournament while gaining valuable experience against some of the Southeast’s top talent. Over the course of several days, players competed in front of college coaches, attended instructional sessions, and tested themselves against athletes from multiple states. The trip provided an opportunity for the Cobras to grow both on and off the field while preparing for the upcoming season.

One of the biggest storylines of the weekend was the performance of rising senior wide receiver Justice Jones. Jones consistently made explosive plays throughout the tournament, hauling in multiple deep scoring touchdowns and stretching defenses vertically with his speed and ball-tracking ability. His ability to win downfield matchups helped power the Cobras’ offense all weekend. His standout performance earned him a scholarship offer from Georgia State University, adding another major milestone to his recruiting journey. As one of the team’s veteran leaders, Jones set the tone early and showed why he continues to draw strong college interest.

The tournament also served as an important developmental experience for Park Vista’s younger players. Competing against older and more experienced athletes allowed many of the rising sophomores and underclassmen to gain confidence and experience high-level competition. The exposure to college coaches, facilities, and talented opponents gave them a firsthand look at what it takes to compete at the next level while helping accelerate their development heading into the fall season.

New transfer quarterback Erik Lee Jr. quickly became a leader of the offense, building chemistry with his receivers and helping guide the Cobras through a successful tournament run. Lee delivered multiple touchdown passes throughout the event and showed poise in key moments under pressure. His timing and connection with the receiving corps continued to improve with every game, helping stabilize the offense during the championship run.

Several other Cobra standouts made major contributions to the title run. Elisha Gamble delivered one of the most dynamic performances of the tournament, scoring multiple touchdowns including a 40-yard deep strike while consistently winning downfield on several other big plays. Wide receiver Jayce Allison also made a highlight-reel impact, finding the end zone on a play where he maneuvered through traffic in space, creating separation and finishing the score.

Brody Wilson added a touchdown of his own, while Harris Bender’s physical presence at tight end and defensive line earned attention from coaches in attendance. Together, their performances kept defenses off balance and fueled Park Vista’s undefeated run.

By the time the championship game concluded, the Cobras had accomplished much more than simply winning a trophy. Players returned home with new experiences, increased recruiting exposure, and stronger bonds as teammates. For the younger players especially, the trip provided a valuable learning opportunity and a chance to prove themselves on a larger stage. As Park Vista looks ahead to the upcoming season, the success at Georgia State University may prove to be just the beginning for a talented and motivated Cobra squad.
