BOCA RATON- Ladies and Gentlemen, high school football is back in South Florida.
Last night (Aug. 17), Palmer Trinity traveled from Miami to Boca Raton to face the St. Andrews Scots for a kickoff classic matchup.
From the beginning of the game to the final whistle, the Scots dominated on both sides of the ball.
St. Andrew’s MVP last night was easily running back Jackson Parke (’24). He recorded over 100 yards rushing, one rushing touchdown, over 60 yards receiving, a receiving touchdown and a two-point conversion.
After Parke’s performance, as well as a 150+ yard first half from quarterback Dylan Mayers (’24), the Scots easily steamrolled Palmer Trinity 48-7.
When asked about his team’s performance last night, Jackson Parke said:
“Its great to get back on the field. We got a great team this year, and I think we could have a really successful season.” Parke said. “It was a great first game with my new quarterback {Dylan Mayers}. I’m glad we’re building up chemistry. Hopefully my team and I keep having games like that.”
Last night’s win should come as a big momentum boost for Coach Jimmy Robertson’s squad, leading into their Week 1 matchup against The King’s Academy.
