Delray Beach, FL.- The first contest of the 2026 Spring Football season is in the books, after the defending SSAA Champion American Heritage (Delray) Stallions downed the Benjamin Buccaneers 24-14. During this afternoon’s contest, there were stand out performances from both sidelines.

For the American Heritage Stallions, it was a true display of offensive firepower, as their established stars used today as another opportunity to develop chemistry and toss the ball around the yard. As for Benjamin, today served as an excellent opportunity for some of the Buccaneers’ young stars to cement themselves into the rotation, giving Palm Beach County football fans a preview of what to expect in the fall.

American Heritage

Marcus Stracke, QB C/O 2028

Stats: 12/17 198 3 TD

There’s a wide open void for the title of the ‘Best Quarterback in Palm Beach’ headed into next season, and Marcus Stracke made an early claim for the role. Stracke led his Stallions with poise and precision, connecting on 71% of his attempts on the day. Per usual, Marcus shined in the RPO game, making quick decisions, flipping his feet and letting the ball fly. The sophomore under center recorded a hat trick in the first half, with each score being hauled in by a different pass catcher.

Jonah Kasten, WR/S C/O 2027

Stats: 5 Catch 75 Yards 1 TD / 3 Tackles

Jonah Kasten has emerged as the most reliable target for the Stallions. The rising senior did an excellent job of extending plays and fighting for extra yards after catch. Kasten’s brightest play of the day came after a catch over the middle where he’d make a man miss and dive for the goal line, resulting in a Stallion score.

Defensively, Jonah Kasten did a solid job of defending over top while stuffing a powerful Buccaneer rushing attack.

Jonathan Cesar, ATH C/O 2028

Stats: 85 All Purpose Yards, 1 TD

What can’t Jonathan Cesar do? The versatile back was explosive all afternoon, recording big plays in the rushing and receiving game. Multiple times Cesar found wide open lanes and flew through them for chunk gains.

Here’s two examples of how Jonathan Cesar exploited the Buc’s defense

Benjamin

Jayden Cosby-Mosley, ATH C/O 2027

Jayden Cosby-Mosley has the opportunity to take Palm Beach County by storm in his junior year. The 6 foot 2 phenom is the most versatile player to step foot on the field at all times. Jayden is a true Swiss army knife that can line up at any spot on the defense, excelling overtop at safety, playing underneath at linebacker and even coming off the edge in a blitz package. Cosby-Mosley recorded 7 tackles 2 QB hurries and an Interception that was returned for a 93 yard touchdown.

Mason Bennett, RB/LB C/O 2029

We all know the deal by now, if you’re rocking #0, you better be the coldest dude on the field, and Mason Bennett is no exception. The Bucs’ young star was flying all over on both sides of the ball, pounding the rock as Benjamin’s lead tailback while leading his defense in tackles at MLB.

I’m very excited to see Bennett’s development as he progresses into his sophomore campaign.

Ryan Brown, RB C/O 2029

I was very impressed with Benjamin’s run game as a whole today. Ryan Brown and Mason Bennett complimented each well this afternoon, with the pair both serving as bruiser backs. Multiple times today, Ryan Brown simply couldn’t be tackled, as no matter how many Stallions attempted to drag him down, the Freshman Buccaneer just kept churning his legs.

Despite Benjamin only having one trip inside the 5 today, I can envision a future of Ryan Brown launching himself through the line of scrimmage for close quarters Benjamin touchdowns across his career.

If today was any indication, the future of Palm Beach County football is in very good hands. From established playmakers to emerging young stars, both sidelines were loaded with talent that should make plenty of headlines throughout the 2026 season.
