In one of the first games of Week 6, West Boca will look to rebound from their only loss of the 2026 season.

On Thursday night, the Bulls will host the Olympic Heights Lions for a game that kicks off at 6:30 P.M. EST. The Lions are also coming off of a loss, which was in the form of a 28-19 defeat against St. John Paul II Academy.

Both teams will look to get back to their winning ways on Thursday, and as always, I have you covered with this week’s game preview. Without further ado, let us dive into it!

Players to Watch

• Makarion Owens, West Boca, DE: Facing an impressive St. John’s College offense, Owens posted another sack, three tackles for loss, and five total tackles. The defensive end is winning with speed, using power at a high level, and generally causing havoc on a play-by-play basis. On an extremely talented West Boca defensive unit, Owens is turning into one of the best players on the entire unit. I am very excited to see what he can do this week against Olympic Heights.
• Billy Clancy III, West Boca, WR: On the offensive side of the ball, Billy Clancy III is one of the Bulls’ most dynamic players. Even in a loss, the wideout erupted for 137 yards and a touchdown on four catches. Clancy III has great route running and speed at the position, using both to get open on a consistent basis. The 2027 prospect is also effective in the open field, using both his strength and athleticism to create yardage. With a good target share, Clancy III should build upon last week’s game on Thursday night.
• Damari Jerry, West Boca, LB: Operating in the middle of the field for West Boca, Damari Jerry continued his great 2026 season against St. John’s College. Posting 11 total tackles, Jerry also posted two tackles for loss. He was all over the field making plays, especially in key situations against the run. Jerry has the instincts and skill set to shut down plays on a down-by-down basis. Expect him to have another good game this week.
• Luke Duran, Olympic Heights, WR: The main target for the Lions, Luke Duran has amassed 462 yards and three touchdowns on 18 receptions. Duran’s best game came in Week 1, posting 114 yards and a touchdown. Duran will look to build on his strong start to 2026 against a tough West Boca defense on Thursday night.
• Cody Waters, Olympic Heights, QB: Waters has been an impressive dual-threat player for Olympic Heights through four games of the 2026 season. As a passer, Waters has thrown for 1,382 yards and 17 touchdowns with a completion percentage over 60%. As a runner, Waters has run for 285 yards and two touchdowns. The quarterback will have a massive test against West Boca, and how he fares on Thursday will dictate how Olympic Heights

Keys to Victory: West Boca

• Set the Tone on Defense: After a loss last weekend, West Boca needs to set the tone on defense immediately in this game. The Bulls, on paper, have the overall unit to dominate any team that they face. West Boca’s defensive line has the ability to get into the backfield consistently, while the secondary has the talent to shut down wideouts. Now, it all comes down to execution for the Bulls, and I am interested to see how fast they can start in this game.
• Get the Run Game Rolling: Heading into Thursday night’s game, West Boca needs to emphasize getting the run game rolling. The Bulls have four separate running backs that they can deploy in any situation. Anderson Gracilien, Wally Harmon, Jacorrion McCrary, and Quinton Miller Jr. have all produced at different points of the year and all provide their own unique skill sets. That does not even include Trey Moran, who has argubaly been the Bulls’ best pure runner. West Boca has all of the talent to thrive on the ground in this game, but like the defense, their level of success will come down to the offense’s execution.

Keys to Victory: Olympic Heights

• Utilize the Quick Game: Like most teams, Olympic Heights will likely have a disadvantage in the trenches against West Boca. As a result, they need to attempt to utilize the quick game against the Bulls. The Lions have a rock-solid quarterback to execute their offense, and they have some wideouts that have produced at a solid rate in 2026. It remains to be seen how Olympic Heights will execute against West Boca, but to have a chance to compete or win in this game, they need to get the ball in the hands of their playmakers.
• Avoid Mistakes: Facing an elite team like West Boca, Olympic Heights needs to avoid mistakes to have a chance in this game. Whether it is turnovers or penalties, the Lions need to emphasize playing a clean game in every phase. The Lions cannot blow assignments, lack communication, or try to be heroes outside of their responsibilities. Executing at this level may not “win” the game for Olympic Heights, but it will give them their best possible chance to compete against the Bulls.
