MIAMI- Inter Miami faced the New England Revolution (APRIL 25TH) in their new home, Nu Stadium.

Miami controlled the tempo in the first half. Luis Suarez created a chance in the 8th minute with a shot from the left side of the goal, stopped by New England Goalkeeper Matt Turner. Lionel Messi at the last minute of the half almost stunned New England with a late-minute, powerful shot in the box, but was stopped firmly by Turner.

Inter Miami were close to drawing first blood with Rodrigo De Paul, who passed the ball through to a very offside Tadeo Allende, who took a shot into the back of the net past Turner, but the goal was not awarded due to offside.

New England responded with a close chance of their own, with a long goal kick from Turner, who lands in the feet of Griffen Yow, who offensively falls as he kicks the ball to Dor Turgeman, who takes a shot from outside of the box and is deflected by Miami Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, and the throw-in goes to New England. In the following play, the ball gets thrown to Turgeman, who is unable to have control of the ball, but tips it behind to Carles Gil, who takes a lob shot over St Clair for the first goal of the match 1-0.

20 Minutes later, Miami was able to respond with a goal of their own with Messi, who passes to De Paul, who passes it to Suarez, and takes a shot that is deflected by Turner as Germán Berterame finds the ball, shooting into the net for a goal, tying the game 1-1.

Inter Miami and New England Revolution share points as they tied the match 1-1. Matt Turner was given Man of the Match due to his outstanding performance with 9 saves.

Miami remains winless in their new stadium and will face Orlando City in a very anticipated Rival game, “The Florida Derby”, looking for their first win at home on May 2nd, 7:00 PM

New England will face off against Orlando City in the US Open Cup Round of 16 on April 29th, 7:30 PM at Centerville Bank Stadium
